Antwerp to Luxembourg
After finishing in a sorry state yesterday I struggled this morning, but eventually ready at 7:30am we found the Karoo bike computer (Amazing piece of kit) had no maps for North Germany, so after a roadside faff we managed to download the maps and finally set off at 830am.
Climbing out of Aachen was difficult but later we followed a disused railway which crossed the German, French and Belgium border a number of times. The views were amazing and it took my mind of the pain and tiredness helping me manage 14 largish climbs and covering 85 miles.
So we covered 83.3 miles, climbed 4,300 feet, pushed 3,200 calories through pedals and turned the pedals 29,520 times.
Please explain why my husband is lying down in a grave yard
Your husband was still standing – remarkably…. it’s Karl who was feeling very grave
… I was still above the ground, that’s all that matters
Your both amazing and doing so well. Stay strong and enjoy the moments of downhill!
.. I was told it was downhil all the way when I hit 50 so I didn’t have to worry?
I think you might be resting too hard! 🤣 Did you make use of the free water then?
We have indeed… lots and lots
