Strasbourg to Basel

Saying goobye to Russel and Audrey who were flying from Basel early we departed from the beautiful home near Strasbourg towards Basel. Our route was mainly along roads with sections of canals breaking the monotony. At 10am we could see the Alps from the side of a Canal.

We stopped for lunch at Bantzenheim, a small french town who had a small summer fair. The local fireman cooked a fantastic meal and we we welcomed by locals interested in our mad journey.

We left with our stomachs full and managed to reach Saint-Louis at tout-vitesse and meet my wife Simone and sister Carenca who had flown to meet us.
