Only two weeks to go…..

Olaf has been rowing away and is now virtually past Stuttgart, 852 km into his 1200 km ride. Simon and Karl have checking what is needed for the journey, bikes ready, few spares in case of emergency etc.

A constant issue for Karl is insulin pump placement, cycling for 8 hours a day causes friction if the pump is against the body, as does clothing seams. After a lot of experimentation it was found Assos MILLE GT Bib Shorts allowed the pump to be tucked inside, but still it occasionally rubs or falls out. Now Gloria Royer is going to alter the shorts to have a pocket to hold the pump – watch this space.
