Lichtenstein Vaduz (Far far away) to Strengen Austria

Leaving far far away we headed along the Levee of the Rhine past Lord Farquaat castle heading through a small pass into the Arlburg region of Austria.

Once in the Arlburg valley we started to climb to cross the Arlburg pass – a monsterous 1360 metre climb, after two hours climbing we reached Stuben im Arlburg after climbing 980 metres to meet Simone and Carenca – who oddly were in another Stuben over 50 miles away! – without food or water we were luckily saved by the Inn keeper who rustled up a Snitzel to save us.

After a hearty lunch and snooze we were about to climb the remaining 380 metres but due to a road closure diverting large lorries through the tunnels we were not allowed to climb. We had to get a bus to St. Anton.

From St. Anton we rode to Strengen to complete the days ride.
